Kubu Island | Botswana

Kubu is the Setswana word for something that stands out. There is no reason for me to explain this. Right in the middle of the large and well known bright and white Makgadigadi pans, Kubu Island can be seen from far. The Island consists of Boabab tree's and huge rock formations. We arrived here just in time for sunset and when we arrived we immediately got our chairs and cold ones out to enjoy this beauty that we drove to ALL DAY LONG.

It was totally worth it. With as little as nothing we were so happy and at peace. We made a big fire and spent the night reminding each other of the mystery and beauty of everything we experienced the day.

Don't miss out on the sunrise here. We woke up at 5am and witnessed the most beautiful sunrise.
